Celebrating the Inauguration of the New IVS Varanasi Center: A Dream Realized.
Our new centre in Varanasi
What a joyful and divine day it was: the grand opening of our new centre of IVS in Varanasi on December 1th. The chanting of Guru Vandana, Vedic Hymns and Mahamantra marked the start, the spiritual initiation.
Highlights of the day
Other highlights of the day were the Narayana puja, the chanting of Krishna Kirtan, Rudravishekam and the first of many Satsangs that will be given in this centre. The Bhagavad Gita recitation of chapter 11, about the Divine manifestation of the Cosmic form of the Lord, was also a deeply felt part of the opening.
A dream come true
It is genuinely a dream come true and an expansion of the task set by Bhagavan when we first came to Varanasi in 1999. His wish was to establish an ashram and make Vedanta accessible for as much people as possible.
The new center now is opened for better public outreach, as the main ashram is situated in the alleys of Varanasi, and commuting has recently become quite challenging for local visitors due to the very narrow and crowded lanes.
A place of love and wisdom
May this centre be a place of love and wisdom, a place of refuge for all true seekers who want to learn about Vedanta and their true nature.
